There is a simple solution to the case before the Supreme Court in which a person wishes to treat some of her fellow citizens differently because of her faith: put God on the stand.
Allow no substitutes, no mortals claiming to know the mind of God because of inklings, upbringing, inner voices, or words from ancient texts.
I would think any court would find God’s in-person testimony to be both probative and compelling.
But until then…
